Hop Along, Help Our Frogs

About
Help improve habitat for frogs, insects and other wildlife at Tulip St Reserve next to the Sandringham Family Leisure Centre.Bayside is blessed with green space but has few wetlands. The pond at the Reserve is one of the few places in Bayside where frogs can be found. FoNW have been monitoring frogs in the pond for the Melbourne Water Frog Census for over 20 years. We regularly find three species of frogs and many invertebrates. A Buff-banded Rail (https://birdlife.org.au/bird-profiles/buff-banded-rail/), a shy water bird, was seen here recently, so we think our members are making a difference.
You can help! Join us to dig in a variety of plants to improve habitat for the frogs, insects and birds.
