As part of the Health and Wellbeing Committee, the council has organised a four-week reformer Pilates and Yoga program.Employee participation
Council is providing classes as a resource for staff to encourage physical activity and healthy habits.
Reformer Pilates classes are conducted on a reformer bed. The classes provide a full body workout, in a slow and controlled environment. Reformer Pilates is designed to improve coordination, core strength, balance, stability and body awareness.
To ensure a safe environment for yourself an others, you are responsible for exercising your own judgment and assessing whether you can participate in this activity.
What to bring
Socks - for health and hygiene reasons, you are required to wear socks during the sessions. We recommend socks with grip underneath, which are less slippery.
Water bottle - it is always important to keep hydrated while exercising.
Towel - please bring a small towel to all workout sessions at GEL facilities.
