Art Unlimited Abstract Painting Workshop with Jude Flemming
About
Participants will gain an understanding of abstract art through definitions and historical examples. We will explore nonobjective, intuitive, gestural, and geometric art, as well as the 20th-century divide between romantic, painterly/expressionist art and classical, linear/hard-edged art. The majority of the workshop will focus on art creation, and participants can expect to complete two finished pieces and numerous studies.Participants will need to supply their own materials, a full list will be sent ahead of the workshop.
About Jude - I have tutored dozens of workshops and teach 2 classes each week from my studio and have done so now for more than 30 years. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, exhibit regularly, am the voluntary curator at the Warren Art Gallery and prepare a comprehensive programme for workshops I lead. I am comfortable and happy wearing a paint laden apron and sharing my art experience and look forward to the Dunedoo workshop.
