MicroSeq 2026
An online conference designed to bring together early career researchers (both research students and post-docs) from Australia and New Zealand investigating a broad range of microbiology domains via DNA and RNA sequencing technologies.

ABSTRACTS
We will be accepting abstracts for medium length (12 min) and lightning talks (4 min).
Abstracts from Australian or New Zealand-based PhD and ECRs will be preferred.

Despite being online, this is a highly dynamic conference, with prizes for best talk, including people's choice awards, and loads of prizes for best questions asked.
Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words, upon registration you will be emailed a link to submit an abstract
Notification of successful abstracts is 5 August 2026
Conference registration deadline is 1 September 2026
The first 50 ECR's and research higher degree students who are ASM members are able to obtain free registration, kindly provided by ASM.
MicroSeq 2026 is supported by the Australian Society for Microbiology (Major Sponsor), the Australian Virology Society, and the Microbial Genomics journal.
Location
The Zoom link to the online event will be provided to registered participants on 1 September 2026.
