Workshop Series
These workshops are for you to explore the laboratory process of performance-making in both comprehensive and beyond-comprehensive ways in unique and ‘unknown’ Butoh styles. Through her over 30 years of creating performances, Yumi Umiumare will guide you through her wide range of interdisciplinary approaches including, Butoh, cabaret, abstract theatre as well as practices in ritual and spirituality.

You are invited to present your short work developed during this process at ButohOUT! 2022 Performance season on 25(Fri), 26(Sat) and 27(Sun) November at Abbotsford Convent (optional).
