This full-day Advent Retreat will explore how the practice of Imaginative Prayer could deepen your understanding of Scripture and strengthen your relationship with the Lord.The day will focus on four scriptural accounts told in Luke's Gospel: the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Birth of Jesus, and the Shepherds and Angels.
During the day time will be spent developing our understanding of the historical context for each scripture passage whilst pondering the significance of each account, not only for the original intended audience but also for us today.
Time will also be spent becoming immersed in the practice of communal imaginative prayer before exploring resources that can support us to incorporate the practice of imaginative prayer into our own personal prayer lives.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided on the day so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
