Alyce Platt (Album Launch)
In 2020 when the world went into lockdown, Alyce Platt set herself a challenge to learn and record a song a day on her iPhone in the echoes of her bathroom and then posted them on social media. Two years later she received a grant from Creative Victoria to develop the original recordings into an album with some of Melbourne’s finest musicians. Alyce Platt is Melbourne born singer-songwriter, guitarist, actor. She presents her original music and artistic pursuits through the lens of the Indie-pop artist she is so highly regarded as by her peers and critics alike. Alyce will be joined by special guests for this launch including a diverse roster of Melbourne’s elite musicians who play on Alyce’s recordings also feature in her stunning live band - bass player Stephen Hadley (Tex Perkins’ Dark Horses), vibes and tuned percussionist Clare Moore (Dave Graney and The Coral Snakes), Jack Jones - flugelhorn, Genevieve Fry - Harp with more to be announced.
