A Farmer’s Wife At Christmas
About
A costumed radio play by Jenny Davis and presented by The Order of St John Knights Hospitaller & St George’s Cathedral. It’s 1796, and a farmer’s wife in rural England is preparing for Christmas and looking back over an eventful year, full of details of village life and peopled with wonderful characters. Based on a real 18th century journal, eight actors from THEATRE 180, and the Perth Undergraduate Choir, take you back in time to the days of simple pleasures, fun and games and Christmas music around the fireside. Join us for a joyful evening of Christmas celebration in the beautiful surroundings of St George’s Cathedral and start the season of good cheer with a zing!
All proceeds to directly provide Food Hampers for the Homeless at Christmas (Give A Feed).
One performance only! (The Play with Christmas Music will be broadcast late December on Capital Radio 101.7 FM & Capital Digital).
