The Frontiers of Internet Fiction
About THE WORKSHOP
An interactive online seminar exploring voice, tone and style, for those interested in writing fiction about the internet.
Join KYD's Virtual Writer in Residence Michael Kaplan, from Iowa Writers' Workshop, for a free one-hour Zoom seminar exploring the frontiers of internet fiction. In this seminar, we will discuss the current canon of online literature and the possibilities for the genre going forward. By examining forum posts, YouTube videos, and more, we will unpack a variety of tones and styles in internet discourse, many of which the literary world has yet to explore. Above all else, this workshop seeks to inspire those interested in writing fiction of and about the internet.
This seminar is free and open to all.
