LEAH AND RACHEL is based on a historical story of the ancient Jewish people. The drama focuses on the attractive younger sister RACHEL who has won her husband's true love but always feels at loss for “one more thing” while her plain and ordinary elder sister LEAH is always seeking strength from the source of life after years of loneliness and frustration. The drama also portrays the hero Jacob and his confusion, disappointment and longing in the pursuit of love and success.
It all starts from LEAH’s question “Who am I?” and ends with her determination “I am not afraid to go anywhere.” It shows that humans are blessed in the pursuit of happiness, and that such blessings will fall on each of us, no matter how ordinary we are.
