GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISKS
While everything is done at Meadowbank MTB to make your experience as safe as possible, mountain biking is an adventure sport and has inherent risks.
The Meadowbank property is a working farm and vineyard and it is likely you will come across animals and farm machinery from time to time.
By making this event booking you will waive or give up certain legal rights, including the right to sue or claim compensation following an accident PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
In this Agreement the term ‘mountain biking’ includes use of all Meadowbank MTB trails and related facilities, equipment hire, uplift and shuttle services, guided rides and coaching sessions.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous activity. At Meadowbank MTB you will be exposed to risks including but not limited to: jumps, avoidable and unavoidable obstacles, animal encounters, farm machinery, trail verge dangers, and changing trail and weather conditions. Even with all possible risk controls and protective equipment, the risk of severe injury or death remains.
2. Riders are responsible for ensuring that they have the physical capacity to complete the activity.
3. All users of Meadowbank MTB MUST obey instructions from park staff and service operators, at all times.
4. If you do encounter animals or farm machinery you must pass them at a safe distance. Riders MUST NOT approach any animals.
5. Riders MUST NOT utilise any trails or related infrastructure while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
6. All users who are under 18 years of age, MUST have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian, who MUST remain with them at all times at Meadowbank MTB.
7. Australian Standards approved helmets MUST be worn while riding at all times.
8. Closed toe footwear and upper and lower body clothing MUST be worn at all times.
9. Meadowbank MTB STRONGLY RECOMMENDS the use of a full face helmet and additional protective equipment, which may include but is not limited to; knee and elbow protection, chest and back protection, gloves, eyewear and neck braces especially when riding more advanced areas such as the jump trail(s).
10. Riders MUST NOT attempt any trail or trail feature unless they have the ability to do so.
11. All trails and features MUST be ridden slowly for the initial ride to allow for familiarisation and inspection of trail conditions prior to increasing rider speed. All riders must ride in control and within their ability at all times.
12. Meadowbank MTB is a private bike park facility, and operates only within set operating hours. Use outside of these operating hours is strictly prohibited.
13. All users of Meadowbank MTB are responsible for their own equipment and must ensure that their equipment is in good operating condition.
14. All users of Meadowbank MTB MUST obey all trail closures and notices, at all times. Going off the marked trails is not allowed.
15. Safety restraints MUST be worn at all times while in a shuttle of uplift service.
16. To reduce the risk of spreading noxious weeds and plant-born diseases, all bikes MUST be washed clean before entry and exit to the park.
17. Minimum bike standards apply for trail users. All bikes must have two working disc brakes and have front suspension as a minimum. 20” or smaller bikes are exempt from these requirements, though must meet minimum acceptable standards.
18. Meadowbank MTB reserves the right to revoke access and/or refuse entry to any park user.
