Surfcasting Competition in the Far North, fishing the stunning Great Exhibition Bay of Parengarenga Harbour. This beach is the absolute jewel in the crown.The competition has three categories Junior, Intermediate and Senior along with a team’s event. Our junior’s fish from a pool full of toy fish, with species and weights, so they can be part of the hype. Intermediates and Seniors fish the beach overnight, striving to catch not just the biggest but also the average fish. Prizes are for Snapper, Trevally, Kahawai, and Kingfish. All fish weighed in are auctioned off in an MPI approved auction with funds being donated to our critical Northland Rescue Helicopter.
The event area is set up on the bottom of Everitt's farm consisting of food stalls, raffles, merchandise, licenced bar with entertainment for young and old.
Saturday night the farm provides and area for camping so you can stay and enjoy. Don' miss out " It’s an event not to be missed.
