It takes a community to raise a child. Christchurch-based Tamai Sports understands this.
Everyone should have the opportunity to participate in sports. But for many, that’s not the case.
The Tamai Sports programme supports healthier children and communities by removing existing barriers to enable participation in sports. Tamai Sports provides a safe, positive, and culturally appropriate experience for tamariki, aged 8 to 13, whānau and schools, where the outcomes live long after the programme.
We’d love you to join us at our auction Fundraiser at Fat Eddies on Sunday, 13 October 2024.
Money raised will support the programme in actively removing barriers for tamariki so they can access transport, uniforms, equipment, kai, coaches, and mentors. In 2024, over 100 tamariki are actively participating in Tamai across a range of sports – rugby, football, touch, netball, and cricket.
