Saltwater Creek

About
Saltwater Creek was formed in early 2024 when a group of five long-time friends and musical collaborators - Al Mackenzie, Bruce Penno, Chris Chamberlain, Lesley Askin, and Rob Allan - decided to get together and start something new. Drawing upon their years of musical experience and wide-ranging tastes, they formed a covers band with a set-list that traverses many decades and a wide range of genres, from folk, to blues, soul, pop, and rock. Instrumentation includes acoustic, electric and bass guitars, blues harp, fiddle, and percussion. With five capable vocalists, lead vocal duties are shared around, and when all those voices combine, the result is a rich vocal texture that is not often heard in live music these days.
The five original members have recently been joined by Mike Boulden on drums, anchoring the rhythm section and helping the band do justice to the more up-tempo rock numbers.
Artists that you'll hear covered in a Saltwater Creek set-list include: Crowded House, Dave Dobbyn, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, James Taylor, Bruno Mars, The Beatles, The Band, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many more.
