Dunedin Midwinter Carnival Lantern Workshop - 25 May 2025
Bumblebee Lantern - Easy, recommended 5yrs+
These lantern-making workshops are a highlight of the Dunedin Midwinter Carnival event (27-28 June) for many families. The public is invited to make a lantern at one of our workshops and be part of this icon Dunedin event.
It takes 1-2 hours to make a lantern and all materials and instructions are provided on-site. Children under 15 are required to have a parent in attendance. You can find us on the upper floor of the Meridian Mall (beside JB Hi-Fi).
Your lantern is your ticket to this year's event. All lanterns made in this year's workshop give you 1 FREE entry to attend the Carnival AND be a part of one of our processions!
The ticket price covers about half the cost of running these workshops with the remainder covered by our generous sponsor Meridian Mall.
