ABI UK GDPR - Good Practice in Investigations

With the Information Commissioner's Office, the ABI has developed a UK GDPR Code of Conduct for Investigative & Litigation Support Services, pursuant to Article 40 of the UK GDPR. This event is centred around that code, and attendance is part of the criteria to achieve code membership.It's all about accountability!
Articles 25(1) and 25(2) of the UK GDPR outline your obligations concerning ‘data protection by design and by default’. This requirement ensures that the seven data protection principles are implemented and that individuals’ rights are always safeguarded.
This ABI workshop focuses on the key issues in the investigation and litigation support service sector and explains, demonstrates, and puts into practice the requirements in the following UK GDPR topics:
1. Roles & responsibilities.
2. The seven data protection principles.
3. Lawful bases.
4. Data protection impact assessment.
5. The legitimate interest assessment.
