Explore how to tackle safeguarding within our work as therapists using TA theories and other modalities' approaches.
Beginning with safeguarding as a concept, we will then move on to explore some of the key writings on TA safeguarding. Following from this we will explore how other modalities tackle such an important area, before touching on social care safeguarding teams to consider what we can learn and implement. We will then return to TA, to consider how these strategies can be utilised within the TA community.
This workshop will consider some of the key TA theories around managing safeguarding within our work as psychotherapists, and looking at the robustness of techniques.
Workshop Outcomes:
The key outcomes from the workshop are:
- A deeper understanding of safeguarding and its importance
- Deeper understanding of our role as practioners and how to best protect our clients
- An update on safeguarding best practice
