West Side Story, School Edition
Merchant Taylors' School and St Helen's School present West Side Story, School Edition.
Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is transported to 1950s New York City. Two young, idealistic lovers, Tony and Maria, find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the "American" Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time.
A large cast and crew will perform the show in the Great Hall at Merchant Taylors’ School on Wednesday 20th November, Thursday 21st November and Friday 22nd November at 7pm. Doors will open at 6.30pm, please arrive by 6.50pm to take your seat.
Tickets are £20 for adults and £12 for under 18's and include an interval drink.
