Lucy Wasensteiner is Junior Professor in the Art History Department at the University of Bonn. She wrote her doctoral dissertation at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, a provenance-based study of the 1938 London exhibition Twentieth Century German Art. She has worked as a researcher and author for the Tate Gallery and as Associate Lecturer at the Courtauld Institute of Art. She was previously Lecturer at the University of Bonn and from 2020 to 2024 Director of Liebermann Villa in Berlin, a museum dedicated to the German painter Max Liebermann. Her recent publications include the exhibition catalogue Grete Ring. Kunshändlerin der Moderne (2023) and Sites of Interchange: Modernism, Politics and Culture between Britain and Germany 1919-1955 (2021).Location
