Westfield Park FIT Count Training Session

Join Buglife Conservation Officer, Ruth Quigley, to learn a simple method for surveying pollinators at Westfield Park.The event will start with a presentation in the Scout hall, where you will learn about the importance of pollinators, and the main groups to look out for. We will then go into the park to undertake 'Flower Insect Timed' counts, and to see what exciting pollinators we can find!
No prior knowledge or experience is required. Tea, coffee and cake will be provided during the talk, and all materials for the FIT count will be provided too. Please do dress for the weather, and bring appropriate sturdy footwear. If the weather forecast is bad for the day, the event may need to be cancelled. If so, you will be contacted in advance.
