Inspired by the beautiful lake district flowers and plants described in Dorothy Wordsworth’s journals and poetry, come join us for a morning exploring the wonderful heritage craft of stained glass, with a contemporary twist!This 4-hour workshop with Kate Lavender, will allow you to create a small bouquet of unique flower and leaf stems in a vase for you to take home, as well as giving you the foundation skills to go on to create more stained glass in the future!
Suitable for both complete beginners and those already experienced working with glass, all you need to bring is yourself and an open mind!
All tools, materials and safety equipment will be supplied. Due to the nature of the craft, please can you ensure you are wearing closed shoes and that long hair is tied back. If you wear reading glasses, it is also advisable to bring these for the close detail work! And bring a picnic lunch! This workshop is not suitable for those who are pregnant due to the use of lead.
