The Yardarms, Footlighters, Serenaders Committees will be hosting a Black Tie Dinner & Dance on Burns Night, Saturday 25th January 2025.Burns Night is a celebration of the life and poetry of Scottish poet Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796).
A Drinks Reception in the Undercroft will commence our evening.
The Piper then pipes us into the Dining Hall where a traditional Scottish Burns Night Dinner will be served.
An "Address to a Haggis" is followed by a whisky toast to the haggis.
A live Scottish Band and Caller will lead the Scottish (Ceilidh) Dancing (with instructions for the novices!)
Dress Code: Black Tie, Lounge Suit, or Kilt. Cocktail dress.
