Help us tell the story of Millom Marsh to shape the future of our shoreline.We are looking for history enthusiasts from Millom and the surrounding area to help us find old maps, documents, and photographs which show changes in the marsh.
We will use records of past coastal changes, flood events, and human impact to understand how the Millom coastline has formed and how it may change in the future. By joining this project, volunteers will help to inform engineering decisions and play a critical role in shaping the sustainable management of our coastlines.
Join us at this online event to see what we know so far and find out how you can get involved.
There will be opportunities to contribute from home and for those who can travel to local archives. Costs for travelling to archives will be reimbursed.
