Epic Spring 38 Kilometre (24 mile) hike along The Thames and River Wey

Join Discover Guildford on this lovely all day spring hike from Hampton Court rail station back to Guildford.

From Hampton Court we hike along the Thames to Weybridge until we cross over and follow the River Wey as it meanders through beautiful scenic countryside back to Guildford Town Centre for maybe a well deserved celebratory drink.

This is an all-day event and is a nearly 38km in length, so it is essential to carry enough water and food for the journey. There will be stops but few and far between. 

You must also have a reasonable level of fitness for this particular event and at very minimum go out for regular hikes as although it is not hilly it is still very long!

Make sure you dress for the weather and wearing stout, worn in footwear as carrying blisters over a distance is not nice.

Also please bring sunscreen as a lot of the walk can be very exposed.

Because of the duration and also the fact we are walking through farmland we unfortunately cannot welcome dogs on this walk.

Cost of hike is £40 per person with a discount on a group of 4 plus an early bird incentive if booked before the end of January.

All participants will recieve a customised medal upon completion. 

All of our walks and hikes are organised and led by experienced walk leaders with first aid training.
