GH Hurt & Sons are a family owned and run company who have designed and manufactured luxury knitted lace clothing accessories for over 100 years. The tour includes demonstrations from members of the artisan team and the opportunity to have a go at shaping a shawl or scarf by hand. There is also a collection of rare hand frames and all sorts of memorabilia to see. The factory is easily accessible by tram and bus - both have stops opposite the factory and there is a pay and display car park nearby.Date
