Spring Into Action: recommoning think tank (SOLD OUT)

About
Imagine if everyone in the District has access to land to grow food. What if our important local places and services were in community ownership? The concept of ‘recommoning’ has its roots in histories and discussions around land enclosure and the commons, and could be argued to be an important process that underlies many of the Our Food Futures visions for a healthy, resilient and fair food system, albeit without using this word. The term ‘recommoning’ suggests future-facing practice, and could cover much more than land ownership models, but ways of generating and sharing other resources and knowledge.
This community think tank session seeks to explore and untangle what ‘recommoning’ means and what it could involve; drawing on a range of perspectives and experiences to think about how we practically support processes of recommoning here in North Lancashire.
A shared meal will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
