Tormead History: 'Henry on Tour' workshops

We invite you join us for 3 workshops run by Dr. Helen Carrel, showcasing the work of the AHRC-funded ‘Henry on Tour’ project, which is run in conjunction with Historic Royal Palaces, the University of York and the University of Newcastle. They will focus on the royal progresses of Henry VIII, exploring the overarching question: ‘How can we study the royal progresses of Henry VIII in the twenty-first century?’Monday 12 May – 4.30-6.30pm: What does the Field of the Cloth of Gold tell us about monarchy in the time of Henry VIII?
Wednesday 21 May – 4.30-6pm: How can studying buildings help us to understand the impact of religious change in Tudor society?
Tuesday 10 June – 4.30-6pm: How can we explore the progresses of Henry VIII in the C21st?' This session will have a careers focus, for those interested in exploring the new range of employment open to those who wish to work in fields such as heritage, conservation, curating, and archaeology
