Wildlife on Colchester's Roman Wall

A guided walk with naturalist Chris Gibson exploring a variety of local environments and their inhabitants.In towns and cities, walls provide artificial but often valuable wildlife habitats. The older the better is a good general rule, and none is older than our Roman Wall!
Meeting in the Minories Garden, Chris will take us through the Meanwhile Garden and onto Priory Street, stopping along the way to discuss whatever catches the eye. We will investigate the flora & fauna of the sun-baked south side of the Roman wall before moving on to the more shady and very different north side in the Castle Park.
