Sand House Virtual Reality Experience

About
Members of the public are invited to experience virtual reality (VR), in form of a virtual tour (using a headset) of an art gallery of photographs, video and 3D images all relating to the Sand House. Each 30-min session is a 1-to-1.The Sand House was a large dwelling whose walls were all carved from solid rock. It stood in a former quarry in Doncaster, from the 1850s until just before WW2. As well as the house, there was a network of tunnels, part of which was decorated with remarkable sculptures carved into the sandstone walls. They included a full-size carving of an Indian elephant and its mahout (keeper).
The Sand House Charity is working on a project to create a full VR experience of the Sand House and its tunnels. As an important step towards that goal, we have created this virtual art gallery. We would love for people of all ages to come along to view the VR art gallery and let us know their thoughts. That feedback will inform the next stage of developing the full VR experience.
