Chunky Bench Making - Weekend Workshop

7 September 10am -8 September 3pm 2024
A fun and hands-on workshop learning how to use different woodworking tools by building a unique wooden bench seat as part of a team effort. It involves practical problem solving and developing physical skills with tools to transform simple natural materials into something beautiful and functional. All tools and materials are supplied and the different stages of the process are covered. All protective equipment will be provided with the preferred option to make this a camping weekend using the FHT camping pads, Woodland Shelter and compost toilets in Wilkies Wood with all vegetarian meals included. ’Sacred Ways’ - Day event

Saturday 18th May 2024 - 9am-5pm
A day to explore how we could live our lives as if ‘The G.O.D. (‘Game overall director’ ) all in all things mattered’... What is ‘sacred’? What would help us to live our lives in alignment with the values which we hold ‘sacred’? How can we honor the Spirit within all of Nature’s creatures - great & small? How can we turn our work into ‘worship’ - and acts of devotion? These are questions we will explore on this day dedicated to ‘sacred ways’. ‘Sacred Ways’ draws on the wisdom of ancient traditions of many cultures to find our own, authentic ways which can connect us with the sacred in an increasingly profane world. ‘I have found a way to live in the presence of the lord’ - Krishna Dass. This workshop will be facilitated by Kajedo Wanderer - Land Manager of the Findhorn ‘Hinterland’, Forester, Gardener, Wanderer...
