Alumnae Reunion

Saturday 27 September 2025
If you left MHSG in a year ending in a '5', this is your year to gather your friends and celebrate your decade reunions! As always, the reunion is not limited to those celebrating decades; we welcome all alumnae and former staff regardless of when you said goodbye to MHSG, so why not get a group of friends together? The day promises to be filled with nostalgia as your reconnect and reminisce with old friends and former teachers, and explore those once familiar buildings.

Founders' Lecture with Nazir Afzal OBE

Tuesday 25 February 2025
We are delighted that this year’s Founders’ Lecture will be delivered by Nazir Afzal OBE. It will be a unique opportunity to hear from a respected figure who has made significant contributions to society and social justice. Mr Afzal has followed a career in public service with a portfolio of high-profile roles. He is the Chancellor of the University of Manchester, and was notably Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England. During his career, he prosecuted the most high-profile cases in the country and advised on many others, leading and campaigning on several legal topics including violence against women and girls, child sexual abuse and honour-based violence. His prosecutions of the so-called Rochdale grooming gang and hundreds of others were groundbreaking and changed the landscape of child protection. This promises to be an engaging evening, full of insight into the relationship between leadership and culture, and the impact these have on our society. 6.30pm for 7pm start
