Redcatch Community Garden is a Community Benefit Society (CBS) with charitable status and a member of Cooperatives UK. A CBS operates on a not-for-profit basis for all purposes and has aims that benefit the whole community. It is democratically managed by its members and board. We seek to engage with and respond to the needs of our communities.

We are now taking bookings for our brand new Christmas table garland workshops.
You will be guided through how to decorate with seasonal & sustainably sourced, foliage, everlasting flowers, pinecones & carefully selected natural festival decorations.
To help get the festive mood in full swing, Christmas tunes, homemade festive treats and spiced mulled cider will accompany us – a perfect festive setting!
Workshops will be held in our beautiful Canopy structure.

Who can build the tallest tower, strongest structure or weirdest shape? Use arts materials to create amazing structures and build a mini city!
There are two available sessions:

Aimed at children aged 5-12.

A fun, creative and safe way of trying out printing. You draw/score into sheets of styrofoam with a pencil, ink it up with poster paint and foam rollers and you can make several prints with it.
Make stamps to print with, or a bigger image that you can ink up with poster paint and foam rollers to make prints with. We will have pre cut foam shapes you can choose from, or you can cut
your own shapes out of sheets of foam.

Graft Graffiti Workshops (CANCELLED)

Graft are back at the Community Garden to share some insights into the graffiti and street art scene from New York to Bristol and beyond, and to teach some hands-on graffiti skills. They will help you to come up with your own graffiti name, try out lettering techniques, and create a graffiti name board using paint markers. Minimum age 8, under-14s must be supervised by a parent or carer. Additional needs welcome.

Graft are visiting the Community Garden to share some insights into the graffiti and street art scene from New York to Bristol and beyond, and to teach some hands-on graffiti skills. They will help you to come up with your own graffiti name, try out lettering techniques, and create a graffiti name board using paint markers. Minimum age 8, under-14s must be supervised by a parent or carer. Additional needs welcome.

Fancy getting creative this festive season by making something truly unique and personal and sustainable?
Come to Redcatch Community Garden and make your own Christmas wreath.
You will be shown how to make a willow-based wreath using seasonal foliage with some carefully selected natural festive decorations. To help get the festive mood in full swing, Christmas tunes, homemade festive treats and spiced mulled cider will accompany us – a perfect festive setting!
Workshops will be held in our beautiful Canopy structure
Workshops are £30 per person.

Spooky Garden Cooks

Become a Garden Cook, pick and cook a delicious, nutritious lunch at the lovely Community Garden.
Join Chef Holly for a spooky themed Garden Cooks cookery class during which we will make a pumpkin soup and spooky ghost flatbreads! Children will walk around the Garden to smell and pick herbs to flavour their food and enjoy chopping (child safe knives), mixing, kneading, stretching. Bring an Apron if you'd like one and prepare to get a bit messy!
Suitable for children aged 6-12. Children over 8yrs can be dropped off, by a parent filling in a form on arrival so please allow extra time for this. 6-8 yrs cannot be left and will need adult to stay throughout the session.

Experiemental printmaking outdoor studio

Join Jenny from Happymess for a series of six experimental printmaking workshops. We will be outdoors (under a marquee), in a socially distanced, small group. Suitable for beginners/intermediate. Equipment and materials for lino cutting, monoprinting, dry-point etching and rubber stamp carving will be available each week so that people can explore any of these techniques as they choose.
