Community-run festival celebrating Northumbrian & other traditions of music, dance and poetry in Rothbury, the heart of Coquetdale. Tickets go on sale for the events below from the 1st of May here, or in-person from Tully's on Rothbury High Street. Book early to avoid disappointment! Ceilidh Dance at Rothbury Traditional Music Festival 2024

Kick off your festival weekend in fun and energetic style at our ceilidh dance with The Globetrotters band featuring Beth Chamberlain (fiddle), Joe O'Connor (melodeon), Andy May (piano) and Ruth Brown (fiddle and ace 'caller'). No previous ceilidh-dancing experience is necessary as the 'caller' will guide you through the dances (in between playing fiddle!). Bar provided by Rothbury's very own micro-pub, The Narrow Nick. All ages welcome!

Acoustic Concert at Rothbury Traditional Music Festival 2024

This early evening concert, in the beautiful setting and glorious acoustic of All Saints church, showcases unplugged sets from headline acts, local favourites, competition winners and special guests. Children go free (but please book a ticket so we can track numbers). Mart Concert at Rothbury Traditional Music Festival 2024

Guaranteed top quality traditional music, dance and spoken word in the unique atmosphere of Rothbury's old livestock Mart, with a bar provided by local micro-pub, The Narrow Nick. This concert is legendary and tickets usually sell out well in advance of the event - so don't miss out and book online. Those in the know bring a cushion! Performers to include the following with some surprises and special guests along the way: KAN - renowned contemporary folk band return to the stage for a hotly anticipated reunion. The Reiver Divas - debut performance of this groovy 14-strong fiddle band from the north east The Wilson Family - four brothers, the benchmark for powerhouse unaccompanied singing. Niamh Farrell - haunting, genre-defying Irish voice accompanied by ace pianist & box player, Jos Kelly. Chris Stout & Finlay MacDonald - fiddle and pipes duo - festival favourites! Various local performers. Rothbury Highland Pipe Band - the epic finale!
