We are a small charity managing two community buildings in the Basingstoke area, providing a range of events and activities for all ages.
SEND Tots 2024
Between Thursday 17 April 2025 and Thursday 24 July 2025
Each week we hold a lovely SEND Tots group for children aged 0-5 with Special educational needs and disabilities. You can join us even if you have yet to receive an official diagnosis and siblings under 5 are more than welcome too. There will be toys and play mats, and a hot drink for adults. Booking is set up for 1 adult to attend per family. Please note that any refunds made will carry a deduction for administration fees equal to 5% of ticket charge plus 20p.

Little Seedlings 2024

This is our structured music session providing instrument play, songs, puppets and colourful scarves and music. It can be hard keeping up with new songs, exploring instruments in lots of different ways and also managing to make friends at the same time. Join Kerry on a Friday morning in our self-contained space where you can enjoy a musical morning with movement incorporated into songs and rhymes, using scarves for games that will aid your child in understanding a sense of permanence – helping you with those moments where you need to leave the room and still be able to soothe your child with your voice without the upset of them feeling left behind. We understand that car parking on site can be tricky on a Friday morning so we have adjusted the start time and want to let you know that Jays close has space with no double yellow lines that will allow you to park with confidence and walk onto the site nearest the Osborne room on a pathway through to our pretty grounds, tended to weekly by

Tuff-tastic

This is aimed at both younger babies and older tots/preschoolers. We have floor trays and trays on stands set up for sensory exploration, fine motor skills development, colour, shape and pattern practise, and using props to develop their understanding of stories, rhymes, life cycles, sea adventures and more!
Leave the mess with us and come along to enjoy a tea/coffee while your little one gets absorbed in learning through play in a safe and stimulating environment.

Tiny Town

Tiny town is our role play town for those aged walking to 5 years. It is a great opportunity to explore the ‘real world’, enhancing language skills, understanding of the world, social skills, and practise of both gross and fine motor skills. The zones vary each week and include:
• Construction site
• Cafe
• Breakfast table
• Post office
• Bakery
• Salon
• Vets
• Garage
• Medical centre (doctor and dentist)
• School classroom
• Home corner - Cleaning, washing, hoovering, etc - life skills prep and help for you at home!
• Gardening, camping and BBQing!
We like to mix it up regularly so your child can explore different zones each time they attend.

Baby Steps Sensory

This is our sensory session dedicated just to those little ones! It can be daunting undertaking a session where you may find yourself fending off thrown toys while your baby is enjoying a relaxing bit of tummy time or tactile play.
This 45 minute session dedicated to those aged from birth to walking is just the right length of time for your baby to soak up lights, textures, colours and music in a warm and relaxing environment and still make it back for their lunch and naptime.

Tufftastic messy play!

This is a great messy play and discovery play session for children aged 0-5 years to explore their senses, get used to textures and play in a way that keeps the mess in our centre and not in your home! It also encourages development of fine motor skills. Join us to encourage your child to explore and learn through play.

Mini Movers
Between Tuesday 22 April 2025 and Tuesday 22 July 2025
Does your child have energy to burn off? Are they clambering over furniture and need an outlet? Or are they simply trying to learn to balance, climb, explore their physical boundaries and move their bodies functionally in preparation for their growing physique?
Mini movers enables your child to step, climb, rolls, balance, wobble and even learn to fall down and get back up again without the tears and fears as the equipment is safe and low level for your growing child. The array of colours, range of resources, and facilitator led warm up and cool down sessions will encourage motor skills development and aid confidence in using play equipment.
This session is aimed at 2-5 year olds but you know your child better than us, so if you have a physically capable 18 month old, please do bring them along.

Mini Makers

As adults, we sometimes run out of creative or imaginative ideas and sometime struggle to know HOW to play with our children. Mini Makers gives your child the opportunity to explore a range of ‘makes’. This varies week to week and includes activities such as:
• Junk modelling
• Building blocks and construction kits
• Clay modelling
• Arts and crafts
• Safe sewing and more!
This session is suitable for 2–5 year-olds who are developing their fine motor skills in readiness for both preschool and school. Come along and join in or grab a cuppa while your child is guided and supported by our staff/volunteers.
