Inspired by this love of performance we’ve created our own light-hearted tribute to the great man.

Today it is part of the Duchy of Cornwall estate and farmed by Naomi Oakley and her husband Mark Owen. In this talk, Naomi will explain how they farm regeneratively to benefit wildlife, whilst conserving the archaeology.

Dartmoor's Conchies- An illustrated talk with Simon Dell

Thursday 4 February 2021
Dartmoor Prison is one of the most famous penal establishments in the country - but in 1917 became the Princetown Work Settlement for Conscientious Objectors. These were the men who refused to go to war, disparagingly called ‘Conchies’. They were treated abominably and this talk recounts their story which has lain hidden and unmentioned - except in hushed-tones - for a century. Simon is an author of a book on this very subject.
