Céilí Night at The Walker Ground
Join us for a fundraiser at The Walker Cricket Ground Trust on Saturday 11th March 2023 from 8pm for a fun evening of traditional music and dancing.
We'll have bagpipes to start, followed by live music performed by Wraggle Taggle Ceilidh Band who will teach you the basics of Céilí dancing. Just make sure you have comfortable dancing shoes on!
As well as the live music, we will have Irish dancing, games, activities and a raffle, all for our much needed fundraiser to make The Walker Ground and Bar an accessible venue to be enjoyed by all.
Frequently asked questions
What is a céilí?
A cèilidh or céilí is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering but is essentially a dance party with live music! No experience needed, just join us for the craic. Singles or groups all welcome. Get there for 8pm to make the most of the evening and entertainment on offer.
What do I wear?
Whatever you like! There is no dress code but light breathable clothing and flat shoes (not high heels or boots) will ensure you are comfortable throughout the evening.
I have never been to The Walker Ground before. What is the venue like?
The Walker Ground is a beautiful multi-sports venue in Southgate, North London. The Walker Bar is in the main pavilion, accessible by stairs from the main entrance. Full address: The Walker Ground, Waterfall Road, Southgate, London N14 7JZ
Is there parking?
Yes! There is ample free parking on site.
What are you fundraising for?
The Walker Ground has limited accessibility. To make much needed building improvements, our céilí night is just one of the ways we will be raising funds for capital works. As this is a fundraiser, the tickets are non-refundable. Please email office@thewalkerground.co.uk if you have any queries.
How do I get involved?
Tickets are limited so don't miss out! Buy your tickets online today. If you would like to get involved with music and dancing or our raffle prizes, please contact office@thewalkerground.co.uk
