Storytelling & Song weekend

Danny English from We Be Kids will facilitate some storytelling around the campfire and lead us in some all age woodland games. On the Saturday morning we will be joined by Kirsten Taylor from Songbirds, Ulverston for a singing session in the woods.
Friday 13th October 4pm to Sunday 15th October 1pm 2023
We hope this event will bring together local friends and Rookhow supporters locally and from across the UK.
This is a weekend for people of all generations- children and young people are welcome as are octogenarians! Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Come prepared for all weathers. No dogs.
SUGGESTED DONATION towards the running of the event: £75 per person. £40 for aged 21 and under.
A larger donation will enable those on lower incomes to join us. If you are able to Gift Aid your donation, please do so.Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Space for 30 people to stay: bunkbarn, yurt, Meeting House floor and camping. Please tell us where you'd like to sleep. You will also be asked to bring some food/ prepare a meal for everyone (we will let you know nearer the time what to bring).
There will be a Quaker Meeting for Worship on the Sunday 10.30am and Epilogues on the 2 evenings which we hope everyone will take part in. You don’t have to be a Quaker to join us. All are welcome.

FRIDAY
From 4pm Arrive. Tea & cake. Get settled in & meet everyone.
6pm Evening meal
7.30pm Welcome & introductions. Challenge game. Stories around the campfire/ Bunkbarn.
9pm Epilogue (quiet time)
SATURDAY
From 7am Help yourself to 1st breakfast (cereals)
8am 2nd breakfast
9-9.15am Short Meeting for Worship in the Meeting House
9.30am Yoga session in the Meeting House with Annie (optional)
10am-10.30am Coffee break
10.30am-12noon Singing session with Kirsten Taylor from Feel Good Singing, in Meeting House & woods
12.30pm Lunch
2pm Free time. Optional activity- making paper lanterns with Annie and Iona
4pm Tea & cake
4.30pm Games in the woods with Danny
6pm Evening meal
7/ 7.30pm Pudding at the campfire, followed by storytelling session
9pm Epilogue around the campfire, toasting marshmallows
SUNDAY
From 7am Help yourself to 1st breakfast (cereals)
8am 2nd breakfast- move out of bedrooms (stuff in cars)
9.30am Games in the woods or on the lawn at the back of the Bunkbarn
10.30am Coffee
11am Meeting for Worship- in the woods or Meeting House, followed by evaluation of the weekend
12.30pm Lunch & tidy bunkbarn
1-2pm Depart
