About
The Chair and Trustees of the British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) are delighted to invite you to the Sir Henry Brooke Annual Lecture 2023.

He was previously a judge of the High Court, Queen’s Bench Division for just over nine years and the judge in charge of the Administrative Court in 2016. After he stood down from the bench in 2017 he sat in the Commercial and Administrative Courts on a part-time basis. He was MP for Dudley North 1997-2005 and Solicitor General for England and Wales 1998-2001. His most recent book is Making Commercial Law through Practice, 1830-1970 (2021).
This is a hybrid event. Registration for all attendees will close on Monday 9 October at 11.59pm, or when bookings reach capacity, whichever is the sooner. Registrants will receive reminder e-mails, which for online attendees will contain the access link.
On 12 October, both the online waiting room and the in-person registration desk will open at 5.30pm, and the lecture will begin at 6.00pm. A Q&A session will follow, with a reception afterwards for in-person attendees.
