This 2-hour session aims to provide participants with an awareness of autism and other forms of neurodiversity to promote understanding and collaboration between all differently-thinking brains. It is for individuals wanting to understand how to support neurodivergent people in a working environment.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, learners will: 

• understand what neurodivergence and neurodiversity are
• be aware of autism, neurodivergent traits, and how these overlap
• understand the workplace challenges neurodivergent individuals might experience, and how best to mitigate these
• understand what autism is, and the preferred terminology used around it
• be aware of the differences between screening and diagnostic assessments?

There is a registration fee (£5 LDCVS members / £10 non-members) to cover venue hire and refreshments.
