Supporting Autism & Neuroinclusion in the Workplace
About
This 2-hour session aims to provide participants with an awareness of autism and other forms of neurodiversity to promote understanding and collaboration between all differently-thinking brains. It is for individuals wanting to understand how to support neurodivergent people in a working environment.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, learners will:
- understand what neurodivergence and neurodiversity are
- be aware of autism, neurodivergent traits, and how these overlap
- understand the workplace challenges neurodivergent individuals might experience, and how best to mitigate these
- understand what autism is, and the preferred terminology used around it
- be aware of the differences between screening and diagnostic assessments?
There is a registration fee (£5 LDCVS members / £10 non-members) to cover venue hire and refreshments.
