Gardens of Easton Lodge Sunday 15th October, Holloween dog show
A Halloween Dog Show will take place on the final Sunday Open Day of this season at the Gardens of Easton Lodge and visitors will also enjoy the glory of the Gardens in early autumnal hues.
Dogs will take centre stage, perhaps dressed up in Halloween costume? The sponsors, Burns Natural Pet Food are providing prizes for the winning dogs in all categories from best puppy to prettiest bitch and handsomest dog and there will be a special prize for the overall winner, from Butternut Box. Wendy Paffey of Wendy’s Petcare and Dog Grooming Services, based in Broxted, has been organising the day with the Trustees and will be on the judging panel along with Dr Alex Bradnick of All Paws Vets, Harlow.
Visitors will also enjoy meeting Essex Police Dog Handling Unit and their dogs; and Support 4 Sight, who will explain what is involved in training guide dogs.
Other fun for the family will include a pumpkin trail and guess the weight of the pumpkin; den building in Lime Wood; a craft activity for children; and a special historical display about the Countess of Warwick’s love of dogs and other animals and birds.
Visitors can enjoy hot and cold refreshments provided by the Trust’s volunteers. The Gardens will open at 11.00 and close at 5pm, last entry 16:00. Tickets are available at a discount, in advance online, through the Gardens’ website or Facebook page or direct through Trybooking.com; or can be purchased on the Gate.
