ATLANTIS-Webinar about IBS research
About
ATLANTIS- Webinar about IBS researchJoin us to hear the results of the ATLANTIS study. The ATLANTIS clinical trial looked at whether a medicine called amitriptyline helps IBS symptoms, when prescribed by GPs. We found that low dose amitriptyline did help many people and was more effective than a placebo (dummy tablet).
During the webinar we will share how we did the research and discuss what the results mean for patients and the NHS. There will be a chance to ask questions.
The session will be led by:
Professor Alex Ford – Researcher and Consultant Gastroenterologist, University of Leeds.
Professor Hazel Everitt – Researcher and GP, University of Southampton.
Matt Chaddock - Patient and Leeds IBS Support Group leader
Delia Muir –Public Involvement and Engagement Lead, University of Leeds.
