All are invited to the annual Leicester Community Carol Service in the beautiful, candlelit setting of St James the Greater Church. Following the success of last year's Carol Service: 'Tears and Celebration', we present 'Caring at Christmas' with a retiring collection in aid of LOROS - Hospice Care for Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland, and St James the Greater Church. In the presence of the Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, the Lord Mayor of Leicester and the High Sheriff of Leicestershire. Readings and poems from the local dignitaries and celebrities telling the Christmas story with a theme of caring in the community. Join in with your favourite carols led by the choir, accompanied by organ and brass band, and listen to soloists, vocal ensembles and bell ringers performing a mix of traditional and popular Christmas music - there's something for everyone! Sunday 10th December 2023 7.30pm-9.00pm, followed by refreshments supported by the Co op.
