REALITIES OF WAR: THE FALKLANDS 1982

About
On behalf of the Royal British Legion Freshford & District Branch, a rare opportunity for you to hear directly from a soldiers point of view.An epic illustrated talk by MARK 'SPLASH' ASTON on his personal and visceral experiences of Special Operations throughout the FALKLAND ISLANDS CONFLICT - 1982.
An informative, detailed and sometimes very blunt account of the exceptionally bold, tough and brave actions he with his comrades undertook; some of whom were lost in that conflict.
Hear from the man himself of helicopter crashes on Fortuna Glacier and then the winning back of South Georgia, the classic SAS raid on the Argentinean airfield on Pebble island destroying many infamous Pucará aircraft, and then his personal survival from the disastrous crash of a Seaking helicopter in the South Atlantic.
After Mark's talk we plan an opportunity to join him and others for a classic 'Army Curry'; a blast of taste from that era!
