[Ever wanted to get involved in a community project that will help native wildlife, improve soil quality and have a positive impact on the environment? Well this is your chance. A local farmer is looking to re-wild large areas of land by planting native hedges and trees. This is a huge development with 40 000+ trees and hedges already in the ground. However this is a very time consuming labour intensive exercise and now he is looking for help from the local community to plants more hedges. He has 4 500 hedge saplings ready to go in and he is looking for community help to get them in the ground. If you can spare a couple of hours to help please book here. If you have a spade/garden gloves etc please bring them along. 

To find the farm, head up Quernmore Brow from the Quernmore crossroads. Towards the top of the hill, you will see a sign for Hare Appletree Farm on your right hand side. Take that right turn and head down the hill. After a bend round to the left you will see the farm ahead of you.
