Lunar New Year Cultural Walking Tour

In honour of the Year of the Dragon and the 25th Anniversary of the twinning of Liverpool & Shanghai join us on a walking tour around Liverpool's Chinatown on Saturday 17th February, 2pm.Find out about the colourful street furniture of Chinatown, explore the symbolism and stories of this wonderful part of the city and Chinese culture. We will also delve into the fascinating history of Liverpool's Chinese community, the oldest in Europe. On this tour you'll also get to try a short introduction to Qigong (weather permitting) by Angela from Angela's Tai Chi School, so it's a full body & mind experience.
The Tour is led by Harriet Gilmour from Experience Liverpool, a professional Blue Badge Tourist Guide. It will be approximately 1hr and 15 mins. Beginning at the Bombed Out Church and ending in Great George Square in present day Chinatown.
Regarding access & mobility this is a concise walk with a very short distance covered but a fair bit of standing time.
