About
Come and help us plant 6000 trees in a new upland woodland site, on private farmland above the village of Eyam.On a clear day, we will enjoy stunning views 180-degree views of the gritstone edges and rolling white peak farmland to the south. There are also heritage features of old mining works in the area to enjoy.
We will be planting a mixed native species of broadleaf trees, including blackthorn, hawthorn, field maple, goat willow, and English oak and more, using wooden stakes, ties and tubes/tree guards. The
site is exposed during bad weather, so please dress accordingly.
There will be a 5-minute transfer in the PPCV minibus from the car park to the planting site.
Coach Pickup 8 am at NEW JOHN ST B19 3UA
Finish 3 pm
Return to Birmingham at 5 pm
Equipment Provided - Work gloves, tools and planting equipment
What to Bring - Suitable outdoor clothing, plenty of layers, sturdy footwear, packed lunch, snacks & drinks.
