A fun and hands-on workshop learning how to use different woodworking tools by building a unique wooden bench seat as part of a team effort. This is not fine carpentry but problem solving to transform thick planking with few straight lines and right angles into a piece of wooden art.  It involves practical problem solving and developing physical skills with tools to transform simple natural materials into something beautiful and functional.  All tools and materials are supplied and the different stages of the process are covered. This is a highly creative and rewarding event put on by Steve, a passionate and experienced woodworker and delivered in the woodland undercover in the FHT magnificent Conservation Hub.

All protective equipment will be provided with the preferred option to make this a camping weekend using the FHT camping pads, Woodland Shelter and compost toilets in Wilkies Wood with all vegetarian meals included. We are also open to day visitors with their own accommodation joining us for these two days of creativity.  For those new to this delightful area close to the sea and the Park Ecovillage Findhorn, there will be short introductory tours of the land and the community at the beginning of the program.

Practical details:

• Course starts 10am Saturday and finishes 3pm Sunday to allow time to arrive and set up tents and for many to make this possible to fit into a weekend.
• Bring your own tent, mat and sleeping bag.  We do have a few tents that can be hired if this is needed.
• Old clothes please to work in and boots are the preferred footwear.

• Cost: All inclusive camping weekend FHT member* and/ non member - £90/£160.  Day visitors FHT member* and/ non member - £30/£60 per day.
