The Tailleferre Ensemble, a UK-based chamber collective founded by oboists Nicola Hands and Penelope Smith in 2019, is dedicated to promoting women in classical music. Their repertoire spans diverse instrumentation, time periods, and genres, prioritizing underrepresented composers. Praised for their extensive timbral palette, their debut album "There are Things to be Said," released in February 2023, garnered acclaim for superb musicianship. They've performed at prestigious venues, collaborated with renowned ensembles, and featured on radio stations worldwide. Members boast experience with esteemed orchestras and venues. Currently Musicians in Residence at St. John’s Church, Notting Hill, they continue to champion diversity in classical music.Location
