Little Sparta is Ian Hamilton Finlay’s greatest work of art. Ian and Sue Finlay moved to the farm of Stonypath in 1966 and began to create what would become an internationally acclaimed garden across seven acres of a wild and exposed moorland site.Open Tuesday 25 June, Tuesday 2 July, Tuesday 27 August & Tuesday 3 September, 1pm - 4pm

Parking:
Please note the farm track is rough with no passing places. There may be cattle on the track. Please drive up in low gear and park in the yard at the top of the hill. Gates should be left as you find them ie close them if they're closed, etc. The Trust cannot accept responsibility for any damage to the cars driving up to and parked at the yard.
It is not encouraged to drive up to the garden unless you have breathing or walking difficulties. The recommended advice is for people to park in the bottom car park and to walk the 700m up to the garden.
