Pollinators Transition Game Workshop
NOTE: The morning session will now not be running. Please register instead for the afternoon session only.
About
This free workshop is focussed on designing a Serious Game about our local pollinators here in North Lancashire. During the workshop you will use your expertise to collaboratively define the game’s start point, three or four phases of the transition, and end point (e.g. establishing a pollinator corridor); identify the actors or roles involved in the transition (e.g. beekeeper, gardener, farmer, conscious consumer, council, wildlife charity); and devise realistic scenario cards, both negative and positive, e.g. ‘Lancaster City Council establishes district-wide initiative to promote No Mow May, move ahead 2 spaces’. The finished game will allow people to practise and envisage the phases from different angles, e.g. as the beekeeper, as the gardener, as the honey buyer. The workshop is led by Professor Ulrike Zeshan, director of Ishara Press and author of Serious Games in Co-Creative Facilitation. You can book to attend the morning or afternoon session, or both. Lunch is provided.Location
